  • Before You Know It!

Yesterday I went to my last Dr. appointment before this little one is born. Looks like he may be here as early as Monday!!! I go in on Monday morning for a lung maturity test (amnio). They should have the results back by early afternoon...if all is well Nathan will be here around 3:00 or so! If not, we'll have to wait until Friday. So now I am trying NOT to go into labor but get things done around here before I am in the hospital for four days. Laundry, cleaning, making sure the girls will have food to eat (I won't be going to the store...Hananiel has been doing that for about a month now, I send him with a list and he brings home the goods).
The girls are up from their nap so I have to go rescue them from their cribs...just wanted to quickly update!

  • We have a date!

It has been a pretty crazy week for us. The girls have really started to walk , thus their need for a little more room to roam around. They have run of pretty much the entire first floor (with the exception of the bathroom of course) They have really done well with their new freedom...for the most part.
Evelynn has taken to eating dog food. I can't tell you how many times I have dug soggy dog food out of my child's mouth. Elizabeth is no help...if she finds a stray piece she will bring it to Evelynnn and give it to her...oh how sweet! Really, Evelynn puts everything in her mouth, she will find a miniscule item on the floor and pick it up with her chubby little fingers...turn it over in her hands and look at it as if she is trying to decide if she should eat it or not...she ALWAYS decides to eat it.
Elizabeth will only eat food that she can feed to herself, (except for yogurt...she loves it and I refuse to let her try to eat it with her hands) Needless to say we've been eating a lot of chicken nuggets at our house lately (however that may have more to do with the fact that I have been craving them the last few weeks)
My energy level is non existent...Hananiel and I have resorted to paying my sister to clean our house once a week because I just can't do it...it is SO nice to have her come, she does a great job! I don't take the girls anywhere by myself because by the time I get them all packed up and ready to go in the car I feel like falling asleep. Too much work! I truly don't mind, I only have one more month left with just the three of us (and my ever growing belly).
That's right, one more month! I went to the Dr. today (for the 4th time this week) and told me she had a date for me!!! September 26th. Pray that I make it...so far so good. I really don't see a reason why I wouldn't make it but you never know...sometimes our Heavenly Father has different plans!
Tuesday I had some tests done at the hospital and they found that the baby's fluid levels were really low. They sent me home on 48 hours of bed rest and lots of water...so on my way home I want to Target! Wandered through the baby section all the while thinking "this could be my last time in Target for a long time" (if I was going to be on bed rest) bought some Gatorade and headed home.
Now any of you who have had a 14-month-old or two, knows that there is no such thing as bed rest but I did my best, and I drank and drank and drank and made many trips to the little girl's room. On Thursday when I went back to the Dr., fluid levels were back to normal and I didn't have to be on "bed rest" any more! But I learned my lesson that I need to drink ALOT more than I thought I did.
From now until Nathaniel is born I will have to go to the Dr. at least twice a week. I honestly don't know what I would do without my family...they have been so much help. I can't imagine having to take the girls with me every time I go!
If anything exciting happens I'll keep you updated.

It may seem silly to you, but today is a very meaningful day for Hananiel and I. Today marks the same place in my pregnancy with the girls that they were born. Tiny little 2.5 pound baby girls. I am grateful for these last 6 weeks I haven't been in the hospital, I have been able to walk around, enjoy my babies...yes, even (occasionally) clean my house. I am grateful for the life inside me, little Nathaniel, I haven't had one complication so far...but we do have 7 more weeks until he is scheduled to come out...I know nothing is a guarantee but I sure would like to bring him home with us this time instead of leaving him in the NICU! If you think about it please pray for an uneventful rest-of-pregnancy for us!

  • And life moves on

We really haven't been doing anything "blogworthy" as of late. I've been trying to take it easy as not to go into labor or be placed on bedrest, this has put our home in a terrible state...I hate it, but I can only do so much and when I over-do-it I can definitely tell! So, I will resort to pictures...
